A two-day national seminar on ‘Securing Human Health through Use of Medicinal Plants’ was organised on 3-4 September in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The seminar was supported by the Madhya Pradesh State Minor Forest Produce (Trade & Development) Co-operative Federation Ltd. and the Minor Forest Produce Processing and Research Centre (MFP-PARC), Bhopal – Government of Madhya Pradesh. Given Solidaridad’s expertise in sustainability solutions, the seminar focused on initiatives and innovative tools which are being (or can be) promoted for sustainable production, collection and market linkages for medicinal and aromatic plants (MAP). Solidaridad is also promoting use of medicinal plants for community health and wellbeing. Panelists recommended creation of an ecosystem for the overall development and sustainable transformation of the MAP sector.
